An intelligent, sensible, non-delusional, progressive republican, concerned with the REAL ISSUES……

NO, I’M NOT DREAMING

NO, IT’S NOT A FANTASY,

YES, I AM SOBER…….

I’m reffering to Buddy Roemer.  He gets it, He understands. He has progressive views and isn’t afraid to speak the truth. There is no wonder why the GOP has disowned, and ostricized him. He remains to declare himself a republican mainly due to being a republican has become a hard-to-shake-off habit . The reality is he is either a progressive or a Democrat, or both, who simply can’t force himmself to come out as either.

Partisanship is nowhere in his DNA, he has no problem calling out either party when he sees a real problem, or true failings. When he speaks about the addiction of both parties to special interest money and influence, I can see Dylan Rattigan on one of his rants. Buddy is for real, and the only place he can get any respect or exposure is on MSNBC. The biased networks won’t have him, he’s much too sensible to make good TV. He speaks about the issues; how money has corrupted the congress and all of our government, he speaks about why positive change can’t come about and the reasons why, he speaks about income inequality,  not the GOPnutz talking points.

Buddy Roemer is one of the best hidden gems in the GOP, and one of their best kept secrets as a presidential candidate. I actually lived through a Buddy Roemer governorship when I lived in La. and as I recall he was a damn good governor. He lost his bid for re-election mainly because he was outbid by the big-money candidate, because he wasn’t conservative (corruptable) enough for the special interest money. If we ever have to have a republican president again, “The Buddy Plan” wouldn’t be a horrible thing, at least not as horrible as one of the  candidates in the  current “Clown Crew”.

My Time to Rant……

It has come to my attention that someone, or some “ones” have been bad-mouthing me. If this true I welcome it, it can only mean one thing, I am having an affect on at least one person. If I am having an affect on someone, then that amounts to extra gravy on my  rice. My main purpose for writing is to relieve my self of the anger and frustration I feel when I hear what the GOP extremist, and sadistic party is doing to destroy democracy and bring this country to it’s knees under a tyrannic oligarchy.

The republican presidential “field of delusion” have shown themselves to be qualified to lead a criminal motorcycle gang, a white-collar criminal organization, an extremely subversive white supremacist group, or some religious dominionist group.  But, lead the country? Not a chance in hell ! The only place they can lead the country is on a downward spiral, wich is the swishing sound you hear in the background whenever they speak. They are all delusional lunatics, out to destroy the very fabric of democracy for all, and to make it an oligarchy, giving the country to a “ruling class“, their class, of those who hold the money and power and nothing more. They want US (the99%)  to be subject to only what they (the1%) want, and only to their need to increase their wealth and power.

The one only thing they are committed to are the “super PACs” .  And those who fund the superPACs, and their elections and supplement their personal incomes on the sly.  Elections no longer reflect the needs and desires of the people, our elections have become auctions where only the highest bidder wins, and the American people are always the biggest loser.

However, the elephant in the room is this; The tea-party  was born from and arose to prominence when those on the right and especially the extreme right  had a complete mental and emotional break down because someone who should be in their view, a slave owned by them or their ancestors. How could this happen in their USA?  It was such a shock to their beliefs and view of what america was supposed to be, that they became all-consumed with their hatred, their bigotry, their racism, and their need to remove this “black guy” from THEIR white house , that they are now in a mindless panic.

Every day we see the attack on voter rights, women’s rights, and the attacks on organized labor. They wnat to destroy the social safety nets that the poor, the elderly, and the infirm rely for mere survival. They try to defund and dismantle the educational system so, through attrition they can  cultivate a poor, ignorant and gullible  base that will be pliable and easy to manipulate through their lies and propaganda. We must remain mindful of this and fight back, we can not allow them to do this to us.

Santorum: ‘I’ll die’ to stop same sex marriages…….from: THE RAW STORY

By David Edwards
Friday, October 21, 2011

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is deadly serious about stopping gays from getting married.

Earlier this week, the former Pennsylvania senator told Caffeinated Thoughts that he would be willing to “die” in the fight against marriage equality.

“The battle we’re engaged in right now is same sex marriage, ultimately that is the very foundation of our country, the family, what the family structure is going to look like,” Santorum explained. “I’ll die on that hill.”

The candidate later went on to explain that sex between a man and a woman is “special,” and even birth control is “not OK.”

“We’ll repeal Obamacare and get rid any idea that you have to have abortion coverage or contraceptive coverage,” he said. “One of the things that I will talk about that no president has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the sexual liberty idea and many in the Christian faith have said, you know contraception is OK. It’s not OK because it’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

Santorum continued: “They’re supposed to be within marriage. They are supposed to be for purposes that are, yes, conjugal but also procreative, and that’s the perfect way a sexual union should happen. When we take any part of that out, we diminish the act. If we take one part out, it’s not for the purposes of procreation, it’s not one of the reasons, then you diminish this very special bond between men and women. So, why can’t you take other parts of that out? And then all of the sudden it becomes deconstructed to the point where it’s simply pleasure, and that’s certainly a part of it, and it’s an important part, don’t get me wrong. But there is a lot of things we do for pleasure and this is special and it needs to be seen as special.”

“I know most presidents don’t talk about those things, and maybe people don’t want us to talk about those things. But I think it’s important that you are who you are.”

The GOP’s furious hatred of women grows and grows…..From the Ohio Daily

Submitted by Anastasia Pantsios on Thu, 10/13/2011 – 5:30pm

The vilest member of Congress, Majority Leader Eric Cantor
a sniffy, condescending puke with a brick where his heart should be —
has apparently said that the GOP will not even let the jobs bill come
to a vote on the floor of the House because, you know, they didn’t REALLY
promise to create jobs last year when that was virtually all they campaigned on.
I guess their fingers were crossed.

But you know what they do have time to vote on? This:
http://thinkprogress.org/health/2011/10/12/341070/house-gop-proposes-so-…

That’s right. It’s not enough for these huge-government/let-government-dictate-
your-every-health-care-move-if-you-are-a-woman types that NO tax money is being
used to fund abortions. They want to punish any hospital that may get federal money
for something entirely unrelated if they perform an abortion to SAVE A MOTHER’S LIFE.
Seriously — you have an ectopic pregnancy? Too bad. We’re back to the savage laws of
pre-modern nature. You die, just as if no medical treatment existed. It does,
but these people want to pretend we are a primitive, undeveloped country.

What’s more hilarious is that they dubbed this bill — H.R. 358 — the “Protect Life Act.”
They should call it the “Punish the Slut Act,” because really, isn’t that what this is about? Whose “life” is protected by denying a woman with an ectopic pregnancy an abortion? That doesn’t matter to people like Cantor who feel they should be the ones to make the most intimate
decisions for women.

If these people were truly concerned about “life,” they would have passed the jobs bill,
creating nearly two million jobs — many for parents desperately trying to feed their kids.
But they aren’t. Fetuses are useful tools to them, something they can use to keep women down.
Actual living, breathing children they don’t care about so much.

A message to #OWS…..and every facet of “Occupy USA” in every town.

 NEVER GIVE UP

Stay strong….Never let the nay-sayers get you down…they will call you everything in the “nasty-book”. Then they will make shit up to degrade you and belittle you and make you seem like “roaches”. This fact alone should give you a sense of accomplishment; if they’re coming at you with their insults and negativity, then Reality says that you are making an impression on those you are protesting against. Never forget that what you are doing is extremely HEROIC, you are truly American Heroes and YOU ARE AMERICAN DEMOCRACY IN ACTION……………. Never Give up.

I was in my early teens during the protests of the 60’s, however I remember that it took many years to realize the desired result.  The main focus was the vietnam war, but their was also focus on other issues, such as racial inequality, poverty, a broken and out-of-control government.  Does this sound familiar?  This new beginning is a bit late, it should have begun when Bush and his band of criminals hijacked the country and took it to the lowest point since Nixon. We cannot allow the nation to fall into the destructive control of the Republican Destroyers.

We do have one major advantage now that was not available in the 60’s, our biggest weapon: Social Media, the mainstream media will eventually catch up, but they are always slow to recognize anything that is good. They make their money on stupidity, debotchery and anything that has negative impact. Be patient, recognition will come…SO, NEVER GIVE UP.

Perry pledges ‘pro-life’-only cabinet

By Sofia Resnick | 08.25.11 | 9:00 am

Texas Gov. Rick Perry — currently in the lead, according to Gallup, to be the Republican nominee for president in 2012 — signed (PDF) on Wednesday the Susan B. Anthony List’s controversial anti-abortion pledge.

Perry’s signature joins those of candidates U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), former U.S. House Speaker Newt  Gingrich, U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and  former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.). The pledge is intended to influence  whom these presidential hopefuls will choose to fill their cabinets,  should they win next year’s presidential election.

The four-point pledge stipulates that signers agree to “select only pro-life appointees for  relevant Cabinet and Executive Branch positions, in particular the head  of National Institutes of Health, the Department of Justice, and the  Department of Health & Human Services.”

In a post on the Washington Post blog Right Turn, Jennifer Rubin points out that Perry might come to regret putting pen to the SBA List’s pledge when he realizes it means he won’t be able to appoint former New York City Mayor  Rudy Giuliani to his cabinet, who Rubin suggests might have been Perry’s pick for attorney general.

From WaPo:

Perry endorsed Giuliani for president in 2008. Good  enough for the Oval Office but not the Justice Department? I asked the  Perry campaign to explain but no answer was forthcoming.

[…]

Has Perry rethought the qualities needed for national service or is  he the latest candidate, unfortunately, to jump when a special-interest  group comes calling? Then it was good enough to look Giuliani in the eye.  Now he’s not good enough to run HHS. Maybe Perry regrets endorsing  Giuliani, or maybe he didn’t read through the SBA pledge. But his  position then and his position now in  the wisdom of pro-choice  politicians serving in high office are contradictory. He should explain  himself to the voters.

GOP presidential hopefuls who have not signed the SBA List’s pledge  include former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, long-time political strategist Fred Karger and Atlanta businessman Herman Cain.

Adding to his support for the anti-abortion rights movement, in November Perry is scheduled to co-chair the 40-year anniversary gala of Americans United for Life, an influential anti-abortion rights policy group based in Washington, D.C.
